October, 2006 Common Health: Global Climate ChangeThere is a growing consensus that global climate will be the single biggest threat to human health and safety this century. A two foot rise in sea level would flood the 30 percent of the world's population that lives within 30 miles of the coastline, contaminate freshwater supplies and damage delta ecosystems.
