March 19 , 2008 On Dying

All of us have confronted death in our families, among our friends, in the news and popular media. Yet, few issues remain more difficult to discuss than dying.

Dying is a process. Caring individuals and organizations are working to help people who are in this process as well as helping their families. Join us to talk about ways to provide death with dignity, comfort and compassion. We'll learn about hospice and palliative care and explore simple ideas for helping those who are dying.

Join our dialogue on Wednesday, February 20 at 10:00 AM as we discuss spiritual and cultural practices for dying and the growing hospice movement created to preserve dignity and family support even as people die.
